CASTELO DE ÓBIDOS
The Castle of Óbidos is a well-preserved medieval castle located in the civil parish of Santa Maria, São Pedro e Sobral da Lagoa, in the municipality of Óbidos.
BERLENGAS ISLANDS
Located around 10 km off the coast of Peniche is the rugged Berlengas Archipelago. This collection of 3 little islands, named Estelas, Farilhões and Berlenga, is virtually uninhabited, well, except for about a million seabirds!
TOMAR
Former seat of the Order of the Knights Templar, Tomar is a city of great charm for its artistic and cultural wealth, whose greatest expression is in the Convent of Christ. When driving to Tomar, don't forget to visit the 'Aqueduto dos Pegões'on your way.
FOZ DO ARELHO
At the confluence of the 'Lagoa de Óbidos' lagoon with the sea, the mouth of Foz do Arelho offers the opportunity to choose from two different beach types. On one side there is the lagoon, a beautiful location where the water is calm and ideal for children. On the other side is the beach by the sea, which offers excellent surfing conditions.
SÃO MARTINHO DO PORTO
São Martinho do Porto is a nice village at a beautiful and calm bay. The bay is a shell-shaped lagoon and is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by a small passage between the hills. Around the bay is a wide sandy beach and you will find many nice and good (fish) restaurants.
NAZARÉ
Nazaré beach, with its mild climate and natural beauty, preserves one of the oldest fishing traditions in Portugal. There is a long sickle-shaped beach with white sand where the city borders the sea and is known for its brightly colored beach bars.
CAIS DA PRAIA
RESTAURANT | COCKTAIL-BAR Located in Foz do Arelho with a breathtaking view of the Óbidos lagoon. They serve several wonderful and delicious dishes as well as some really nice coktails.
NACO NA PEDRA
STEAKHOUSE Located in Salir do Porto. A nice local restaurant with various types of red meat that you can cook on a hot stone. Nice assortment of good wines as well. Very popular among locals!
BOCA DO MAR
PORTUGUESE | EUROPEAN CUISINE Located a the bay of São Martinho do Porto. A very good Portuguese menu, both fish and meat. Cozy interior. Very good price / quality.
